Please share if you know anyone with lower back pain. 😊

Part 1
Yoga poses combined with mindful breathwork help to soothe lower back pain, sciatica & slipped disc. Breathing fully and deeply gives support to the posture and centers the spine. Lower back pain is a highly complex and individual issue; further aggravated by psychosocial factors such as emotions, stress and lifestyle (avoid high-impact exercises & sitting or standing for long hours). Adopt a gentle & progressive approach to the poses. Using your core strength in every movement guards against further instability in the lower back. Start with 5 breaths, and slowly proceed to holding it for a longer period of time to twenty seconds and then stretching it to one or two minutes. Do 1-3 sets at a time.

Part 2

Stretching the piriformis(a deep hip rotator just next to the sciatic nerve), hamstrings (tight hamstrings & surrounding muscles presses on the sciatic nerve) and hip openers are most useful for people with lower back pain. Start with 5 breaths, and slowly proceed to holding it for a longer period of time to twenty seconds and then stretching it to one or two minutes. Do 1-3 sets at a time.

Part 3

5 easy yoga poses to soothe sciatica, slipped disc & lower back pain
When one is stressed or faced with negative emotions, it contracts the psoas (a hip flexor that originates from the lumbar spine) and stresses the lower back. The tone of the psoas influences the health of the low back & sacrum, as well as freedom of movement in the hips. Hence, breathing deeply and fully, coupled with strengthening & lengthening the psoas offer relief to the lower back. Start with 5 breaths, and slowly proceed to holding it for a longer period of time to twenty seconds and then stretching it to one or two minutes. Do 1-3 sets at a time.
